Laurie Ishii and Daryl Bargy

Okay, being that this is a ‘special’ circumstance that (THANK GOD) doesn’t happen every day – we have first of course relied on God, but we’ve also had to use what little savings we have to pay for a motel every day since last Wednesday. We’ve also had to eat out every day which has not been good on my health at all – I’m in bed today while Daryl and Fred are moving (mostly throwing stuff out again) and putting stuff in storage. This has added up to about $700 – so far.

It’s amazing how our lives can get totally, literally turned UPSIDE DOWN in a moments notice – it was so awesome yesterday at church cause the Lord really spoke to us through pastor Tim’s message… we are so blessed to have each other, our friends, our church, and of course – most of all – Jesus!!! If something like this had happened without having the Lord – I don’t know WHAT we would do.

Well, straight out – we are running out of money. We have had to use ministry money and savings and well – we don’t have much more to live off of. We also have to have money¬†to move – first and last months rent. Lord willing, we will get our security deposit back – if not – we’re prepared to go to court. (Which would still take who knows how long before we get any of our money back) But we don’t care about getting money from the apartment owner – just our security deposit back – and to report the building to the health department for the welfare of the other people living there.

I hate having to do this, but I know that some of you are in a position where you may be able to help us financially and would be blessed to do so. So, I’m asking that you please pray about it, and if you feel led – we would appreciate anything – any help at all – when we find an apartment (which we pray will be ASAP) and you have some furniture you need to get rid of (just so it has no bugs!!! lol) or if you can help pay for a night at a motel – that would be SO APPRECIATED!!!

I’ll admit that in some ways I’m so embarrassed at this whole thing – even though I know from all the reading I have done about this that this could happen to anyone and that because the bed bugs have already been in our apartment building for SIX YEARS across the hall – it was inevitable that we would get them. Having these horrible creatures has NOTHING to do with how clean you are – they just want US – not our food/crumbs – they snack on US humans.

The past few days I have also read about how DIFFICULT it is to get rid of the bugs for good (also spoke with the exterminator) and I’ll admit that I have somewhat of a fear that we’ll take some eggs (which don’t die when spayed) with us wherever we end up moving – which is why we’re taking the drastic measures of throwing everything out. It’s cheaper in the long run to get rid of everything than to try and save things and just end up getting infested again in the future.
