I got a really good idea from one of my friends from myspace – I’ve
heard of something similar – a woman used to hand out jewelry, perfume
and other personal things to strippers – but what about
prostitutes…plus I’m not good at picking out jewelry and perfume -
I’m not very girly girl…more practical.
What about making very small (like purse size) bags with a teeny new
testament, a little stuffed animal or just some small trinkets and our
matchbooks with our number – I know there are a lot of cute small
cards or knick knacks with scripture on them at Christian bookstores
and maybe gift cards… and all kinds of sizes of bags at the 99Cents
store…
See, even though their pimps may give them money for cigarettes, um…
things that may benefit their looks so that they can better sell
themselves – maybe some hygine things… but as a whole – wouldn’t it
be nice if they can have their own little something to get themselves
- like a $5-$10 card to Target, or McDonalds, or coupons for getting
their nails done or something…I’ve heard that many prostitutes
actaully sleep with stuffed animals too… we could make up these bags
and pray over them before handing them out…
The next time I go to visit G I’ll ask him what the girls are and
are not allowed to have by the pimps… or what they like and don’t
have an opportunity to get for themselves – he would know some of that
that kind of stuff, he’s very observant…
Please pray about this! I know it costs money, but I do believe that
money follows ministry – if we take a step of faith and do this, the
money will follow…after my dentist appointment tomorrow I’m gonna
try and shop around a bit to see what’s out there.
