THIS MONTHS SCHEDULE
Praise God – we just moved over the weekend. We now live in Hollywood – on the East side. There are some 18th St. gang members on our street and the ‘track’ (where the prostitutes work) is down the street from us… it’s great!
Anyway, this month is a busy one, which is great because Daryl still hasn’t been able to get a job yet and our rent is almost $1000mo.for a single! (Rent is expensive around here) Yikes. But we know that the Lord would not have given us this place if He will not provide the funds for it.
Both of us have been improving health wise since we’ve gone vegan, so we are so blessed to be able to do what God has called us to do. Daryl has lost 10lbs. (the last time he checked) and I have lost 15ibs. – and both of us have much more energy than before. We wouldn’t go back to eating meat, processed white flour, sugar, etc. even if someone paid us!
Eating healthy this way does cost more – it’s very expensive to eat this way…but it’s worth it. Without our health – we are pretty worthless. Even less than a year ago I was sick probably 3 out or four weeks out of a month. The prostitute outreach would exhaust me to the point where I had to be careful to lay low for the whole rest of the week just to be able to go out. Right now we’ve been having to use the credit card which we hate to do, but we’ve gotta eat – and it’s better than having to go to the doctor every month! (I was literally going to the doctor about once or twice every month)
But since we’ve been on this diet (Hallelujah Diet – by Ralph Malkmus) we’ve had so much more energy and have been able to go out and stay up till after midnight, get up early and on the weekends do outreach without getting sick! It’s a miracle! THANK YOU JESUS!!!
So anyway, I have been asked to do a short radio interview (over the phone) – my friend Annie Lobert www.hookersforjesus.net – set that up – the show is in Vegas and broadcast online. www.idradionetwork.com for anyone who’d like to hear it. It’ll be live and only for 5 or 10 minutes. It’s put on by a woman named Michelle who’s show is “Michelle Presents Life After the Game” (The prostitution Game) Thursdays at 8-9pm.
On Monday the 16th at 7:30 I will be briefly speaking at Mosaic church with a number of other speakers on Human Trafficking. I am no expert on this whole thing – it is such a privilage to even be asked to speak about our ministry at this Anti-Trafficking Movement.
On the 18th we will be flying to Utah to speak at a ‘retreat’ with One Way ministry through the 21st! We love this group of amazing people and our friend Arlan will be speaking there too. He is an anointed man of God delivered out of the gay lifestyle – he dressed as a woman before he was saved (and even for a while after) and Jesus has set him free! He is now known as “Ministry Monster” and is soooo talented, designing, painting murals and producing/directing dramas. Check out his myspace! www.myspace.com/ministrymonster
On the 27th – I am sharing my testimony at a women’s bible study at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. What a blessing! Our Pastor Tim Chaddick will be performing with his band the night before.
The Sunday of the 29th at 2pm I will be sharing my testimony and Daryl and I will share about AFTER HOURS MINISTRY at the Japanese church at the Dream Center.
We have been going through such opposition in the past week – we SO appreciate all of your prayers! It is SUCH a privilage to be able to share of God’s goodness and about what He is doing in our lives. He is SO GOOD, and worthy to be praised!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your support!!!
