Thank God. I didn't have to get stuck at all yesterday. The night before seeing the Endocrinologist I woke up at 2am with a migraine headache. It lasted until yesterday afternoon, after I got home from the hospital. The Endocrinologist is sending me to a neurologist and is also scheduling me to stay overnight at the hospital in the next few weeks (or months, depending on bed availability) to have some test(s) done. One is the water deprivation test - where I can't drink water for a day and my urine and blood will be tested like every hour or something. Tomorrow I have an appointment with an Endocrinologist. I realized yesterday that I have been very...lazy writing blogs on this web site. I think it's partly because I have a myspace - so I keep in touch with people on there and don't have as much time to visit here...and when I do write a blog here I usually put it on myspace too. Anyway, I am asking people to please pray that if I have to have my blood drawn for tests that whoever is going to stick me - is able to. I just spent about an hour on the web ..googling.. my very close friend Harold Pruett who was in numerous B movies and TV shows - he died February 21, 2002 of a heroin overdose. I sometimes think about him..I wanted to see if there were any pictures of him online but there was only one with a group of people on ..The Outsiders.. TV show. Man - This sucks! On Friday when I was getting discharged from the hospital the nurse asked me if I wanted a flu shot. She said it was good to get it and especially for children and the elderly. With my immune system I am usually considered to be in that category. So I got one. Big mistake! I'll never get one again. About 24 hours after I got the shot, I started to get a killer headache and body pain and when I took my temperature it was 101.1!!! I was not happy about that. What a nightmare! I've been in and out of the hospital (both Harbor UCLA and USC County hospitals) for the past five days! It all started Sunday night, when it seemed that my diabetes insipidus medicine/hormone didn't seem to be working properly. The hormone is supposed to tell my kidneys to hold or retain water - but instead I was urinating every five minutes. I hardly had any sleep all night because of my frequent trips to the bathroom all night. By Monday, if I drank an 8oz. glass of water - five minutes later I'd pee the 8 ounces out.
