Utah Tomorrow…
Exciting! I just spoke with Klysta, the woman who talked to her Pastor about Daryl and I coming out to Utah to speak at their church and to have a little ‘get away’ while we’re there. We’re so excited – what a blessing. They are totally taking care of us – big time. She said that we will also get to share at the youth detention center. I met she and her husband during Pastor School a few months back. We’ll be there for six days – how cool!
Yesterday Daryl and I rode the motorcycle to church and afterwards we went to a barbeque in Hollywood with Reality LA church. When we first got there I felt sorta awkward cause I didn’t recognize anyone, plus we didn’t go to their service. (We went to Angelus Temple – we’re alternating every other Sunday) Then I saw Hector, who was cooking carne asada on the grill. He is one of those people you just like right away and who is so friendly everytime we’ve see him. We went and said ‘Hi’ to him and then met a couple of guys standing by the grill. One of them was all sleeved up and well – we had a lot in common. I won’t go into detail, but our friend Bobby and I were able to pray with this guy to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior. It was such a divine appointment… Pastor Tim came up afterwards and was able to minister to him some more – Tim and the church had been praying for the guy since he first visited Reality LA. It is such a blessing to be a part of a church and have an opportunity to really get hooked up with some great people.
The first time we went to Reality La’s Sunday service they were all praying before the service (we got there early) and you could just sense the Holy Spirit so strong the whole time we were there. Anyone could see that Tim and the congregation are serious about prayer. What a blessing. I feel so privilaged to know Pastor Tim – another divine appointment – we met him when I spoke at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. God is SO amazing. He’s so into ‘set ups’!
Earlier, I received a phone call from an older Japanese woman who read this article in a Japanese Newpaper. A couple of months ago, this young woman from the newspaper came to interview me for over four hours! Anyway, she wrote an article about the homeles in LA and also shared some of my testimony. Well the woman who called me has a friend who’s son is on drugs and needs help, and she wanted to know if I would talk to him. She was so sweet and she let me pray for her and her friend’s son before we got off the phone. I told her to have her friend’s son give me a call. I’d really like to help him…but I don’t know how exactly. Sharing Jesus with him of course will help – I’m also going to tell him about a few Discipleship programs.
Anyway, in case you couldn’t tell – I’m trying to be ‘careful’ not to go into too much detail about anything or not use people’s names unless I’m pretty sure they won’t mind.
Well, I’d better get packing. Early flight tomorrow…
