Prostitute Outreach…

Friday, September 29th, 2006
Well, I'm trying (was) trying to sleep before the outreach tonight. But Daryl's out in the living room with Jackie watching TV so I'm just gonna wait till he comes to bed. I'm not much of a TV person - I'd rather read or write. So tonight at 2am we're getting up to drive to a new (new to us) pimp /prostitute hangout. I spoke with a couple of the guys this week on the phone and they let me know where they've been 'working' these days. I hadn't talked to any of them while we were in Utah and after I lost my phone until this week. It probably sounds weird - I really miss them after I haven't seen them for a bit. There's two of the older pimps who… Read More

Viral Load…

Sunday, September 24th, 2006
Please pray for Daryl...he's been in a lot of pain lately (same place where my pain is - the doctor said it's liver pain) and his viral load is now up to 8,000,000. (8 million) He's pretty depressed about it. I have no idea what my viral load is up to now...ours was about the same a year ago - only at the hundreds of thousands...if his is 8 million - who knows where mine is at. His liver enzymes were at ALT 67 and AST 35 or something - and mine were ALT 587 and AST 274 or something like that. Normal levels are ALT 45-50 AST 35-45... Daryl's Cingular phone went dead for no reason again. We think it's because they sent us a new SIM card when I… Read More

Count it all joy…

Friday, September 22nd, 2006
...when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith developes perseverance. (James 1:2-3) I'm exhausted. One thing after another. Yesterday we found out that our medical insurance was cancelled. Then we found out that my DDAVP (Diabetes Insipidus hormone) is $287 a month. Generic. But Daryl got a job today - it only pays 2/3 of what he made before and it doesn't have any benefits, but hey - it's a job. It's the first one he applied at, online. It's driving for a nursing home/adult day care. It reminded me of many places I've been in while I was still getting high and after I attempted suicide of was on a 72 hour hold… Read More

What a Trip…

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006
Praise Jesus! I slept through the night for the first time in a week. It's wonderful to sleep on my own bed. Well, back to the old schedule...being in Utah was really a great vacation. We didn't have to be concerned with anything much - besides losing my phone (which is now up and running again since yesterday afternoon) and being in so much pain. Today I feel so much better! I think that sleeping on the right bed makes a huge difference. Anyway, when we first arrived in Utah and got off the plane I called Klysta - and sometime after that, I lost my phone. Jeff took us to see the Mormon Temple (talk about a TRIP) and like I already mentioned,… Read More

Home Sweet Home…

Monday, September 18th, 2006
We just got home from Utah! Hallelujah - I LOVE LA! We had such an amazing time while we were there though. Everyone treated us like royalty. We're exhausted and I'll tell more about our speaking engagements tomorrow but real quick... Man, I don't know why, but I am SO SENSITIVE to spiritual stuff. I don't want to bash Mormons because we love the Mormons and they are really nice people, they're just deceived. I'm sorry, but Utah is SO OPPRESSED. I mean, I have never felt such horrible oppression - ever - besides going into a Satanic shop (666) on Hollywood Boulevard. Maybe it was the bed I was sleeping on, but I have never been in so much PAIN… Read More

Opposition…

Wednesday, September 13th, 2006
PLEASE PRAY FOR US!!! Since the moment we arrived in Utah things have gone wrong! But not in a way like we shouldn't have come here - but spiritually the opposition for us being here is so THICK. As soon as we got off the plane Daryl looked me and saw my speaking under my breath. He asked if I was speaking in tongues - because he was - as soon as we arrived here you could feel the oppression BIG TIME. Jeff (Klysta's husband) and Klysta picked us up - they are both so amazing - and FUNNY! Jeff had us laughing the whole time. He and Klysta took us to the Mormon Temple for a tour - Jeff was born and raised a Mormon and even got married in the temple… Read More

Utah Tomorrow…

Monday, September 11th, 2006
Exciting! I just spoke with Klysta, the woman who talked to her Pastor about Daryl and I coming out to Utah to speak at their church and to have a little 'get away' while we're there. We're so excited - what a blessing. They are totally taking care of us - big time. She said that we will also get to share at the youth detention center. I met she and her husband during Pastor School a few months back. We'll be there for six days - how cool! Yesterday Daryl and I rode the motorcycle to church and afterwards we went to a barbeque in Hollywood with Reality LA church. When we first got there I felt sorta awkward cause I didn't recognize anyone, plus… Read More

'Sir'

Saturday, September 9th, 2006
Last night I was talking to 'Sir', one of the men I met almost three years ago on the prostitute outreach. He's one of my 'favorite' guys out there - him two or three others that I talk to pretty regularly. Sir is one of the older, if not the oldest guy that hangs out there. I menitioned it in one of my past blog which probably isn't up yet - the very first time I met Sir I walked up to him, stuck my hand out to introduce myself, and he said, "I don't shake anyone's hand" and I said, "Oooooh, what are you, too good for me?" (Not in a snotty way, more of like a joking around way) He looked at me funny and said, "No, it's just a street law we have… Read More

UTAH

Friday, September 8th, 2006
I have been sitting here going through and posting some of my old blogs - from November...I've gotten through December so far. Dang, this is hard work! Oh well. Next week we are flying to Utah, to speak at a chruch and possibly minister at a youth detention center or something. We'll be there for six days. It should be interesting, and a blessing, for sure! Read More

Starting Over…

Thursday, September 7th, 2006
I am in the process of starting this web site over...I'm going through all the blogs and saving them, keeping some private and publishing others for the public to see. Just because I myself am very transparent and don't mind if people know my business - it doesn't mean that everyone else feels that way. God is showing me how important it is that I use discretion. Even if I don't use people's real names, some get offended if I share a situation they are involved in. I don't want to hurt anyone. It will probably take a while to go through everything - starting from November 2004. Please be patient with me! Read More
